AAW 2009 Day 1 : Art inspiration : Console des Anges, Collégiale Saint-Martin, Angers

Recently discovered during a sight-seeing trip in Angers, I fell in awe of this wooden sculpture right away. Though it's not, by far, the oldest piece of the Collégiale Saint-Martin...
But all beautiful, melancolic teenage angels remind me of Amadeo.

Oh, it's really beautiful. ^^ I love angels, and I also love odd details about Paris or other French cities.

I've clicked on your name when I saw a pretty icon you used in a Kaamelott community, and so I've gone to see your other icons, as I usually do. They are really beautiful, especially those about Amadeo, the Marvel Phoenix and Kaamelott. May I use some of those ? I'll credit you, of course !

I write a novel about angels which is almost finished - well, I hope so - and another which is its sequel, and it takes place in Paris. This is why your post is really relevant to my interests. :)

Are you French too, or do you speak French ? I could speak in my native language, because my English isn't very good, sorry...
