Amidst the swirling chaos, watching the Portland, Oregon response to federal troops being sent to deal with their allegedly "crime ridden streets" by staging what might politely be described as weaponised absurdist street theatre (inflatable frog costumes, naked bike rides and many more) has been frankly magnificent.
